The Novo Nordisk Foundation Bioresearch Institute for the Green Transition (BRIGHT) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) aims at developing new knowledge and technologies to help facilitate the transformation from the existing oil-based chemical industry to a more sustainable bio-based society in which chemicals are produced biologically. The Biofoundry is an important part of BRIGTH and ensures effective development and implementation of strain design procedures in our design-build-test-learn workflow using big data and data science. The Analytics team is part of the Biofoundry and is providing reliable, accurate and high-throughput analytical services by means of state-of-the-art analytical techniques. The job As a Proteomics Specialist you will be part of a dynamic international team where you will be supporting the on-going activities and projects focusing research on sustainable chemicals, natural products and microbial foods. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Analytics and your immediate responsibilities will be: Developing new and running previously implemented LC-MS based proteomics workflows (sample preparation, absolute and relative quantification as well as identification) Implementing quality control systems for all proteomics related analyses Handling and reporting experimental data in reports, lab notebooks and LIMS-systems Writing and maintaining SOPs Flexibly and proactively helping other team members within the Analytics Team and efficiently collaborating with other research groups and departments within DTU Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of LC-MS equipment Our expectations of you We are looking for a colleague who likes to create results via positive and efficient teamwork. Additionally, your CV comprises: PhD in analytical chemistry or similar Proven experience in setting up and performing proteomics/protein analyses (sample preparation, method development (both DDA and DIA), data processing & reporting) of biological samples by LC-MS Excellent understanding of the technology involved in performing proteomics analyses (including liquid chromatography, high-resolution mass spectrometry, bioinformatics and related software) Strong oral and written skills in English - our communication language is English Flexibility, enthusiasm, responsibility, team spirit and excellent collaboration skills Capable of working on your own initiative when appropriate What we offer in return We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international atmosphere with the focus on research, teaching, innovation and scientific advice for the benefit of the surrounding community.
