Exploration Geologist

Our Client We represent a well-established Australian resources company with a strong operating reputation and clear growth agenda. The business is expanding exploration in Northern Queensland and has approved significant contracted spend to support upcoming programs and services. Client identity remains confidential at this stage. About the Role Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the Exploration Geologist will hold a full-time permanent position covering a substantial 1,200 km² tenement package. The role blends hands‑on fieldwork and technical delivery, including drill program support, geological modelling, and database management. This is a drive in drive out position on an 8 on 6 off roster. Base location is Northern Queensland with Townsville or Charters Towers preferred. Candidates from Cairns, Mackay, Bowen, Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays region are encouraged to apply. FIFO is not considered and travel to site is at the employee’s expense. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and execution of drilling and exploration activities Contribute to geological modelling and database integrity using Micromine and DataShed Conduct mapping, sampling, and interpretation across the ground package Work with contractors to support delivery of approved exploration programmes Prepare technical reports and contribute to program scopes and schedules Follow compliance, safety, and technical standards across exploration functions About You Strong exploration background, ideally in gold or precious metals Proficient with Micromine and database management Comfortable working across both field programmes and office‑based technical work Able to complete assigned tasks with accuracy and reliability under minimal supervision Australian citizen or permanent resident Why Apply?
