About This Role We are seeking a passionate Disability Support Worker with excellent availability to join our dedicated team in Gladstone. If you have a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities, and are flexible to work various shifts – including mornings, afternoons, overnights and weekends – we would love to hear from you Working Conditions Permanent, part‑time hours with set fortnightly rosters Located in Gladstone, SIL Home Flexible availability required with overnight shifts per week Role Responsibilities Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes, you will provide support, assisting people with disabilities to live as independently as possible. In this role you will support clients with sensitive matters, complex behaviours, ageing conditions and other related challenges, assisting with aspects of personal care and manual handling to meet each individual's needs. Ideal Applicant Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends and multiple sleepovers (penalty rates apply). Previous experience working in a SIL environment or supporting people with high‑complex disabilities will be highly regarded. The capacity to meet the physical requirements of manual handling tasks. Ability to work independently and confidently in varied environments. You Will Need To Be Provide a person‑centred approach Willing to engage in active support Reliable and patient Passionate about your work Team player Take initiative and continuously seek to improve Commitment to privacy and confidentiality Skills Required Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) desirable Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – hold or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) – hold or willing to obtain First Aid and CPR – hold or willing to obtain National Criminal History Check – hold or willing to obtain Australian open Driver’s License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
