About the Position We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to step into a pivotal role on a 12 week contract in a high performing team. Working within a collaborative team of engineers and planners, you’ll provide expert advice on Development Applications, lead investigations into traffic-related concerns, and play an integral role in shaping safe, efficient, and sustainable transport networks across the municipality. Key Responsibilities Assess traffic impact of Development Applications Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on traffic, transport and parking matters Undertake site inspections and investigation of traffic, transport and road safety issues Prepare design layouts for new traffic facilities including pedestrian and bicycle paths Skills & Experience Required Degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering (or related field). Experience in traffic and transport within Local Government is a must Solid understanding of NSW Road Rules, Australian Standards, and Austroads guidelines. Skilled in technical report writing and stakeholder communication. Experience with traffic software (e.g. SIDRA, AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
