Canberra - ACT Laverton - VIC Melbourne CBD - VIC Sydney CBD - NSW The Role Defence Digital Group (DDG) Group Operations Division is seeking a confident and strategically-focused Executive Director to lead enabling and governance activities across the Group. This role oversees the: Risk and Assurance team – supporting Group risks, conducting audits and managing findings. Workforce and People Capability team – driving strategic workforce initiatives and activities that support the development of a future-ready DDG workforce. Communication and Engagement team – supporting corporate communication functions across the Group. Business Services team – supporting DDG Business teams with Information Management, Accommodation, Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Business Continuity. This is a multi-faceted role that will see you ensuring these teams provide efficient and timely support across DDG, drive implementation of new strategies, and provide maximum value. About our Team Working in the Defence Digital Group (DDG), you will be contributing your expertise to some of the most technically demanding and complex ICT and business transformation projects being undertaken globally. DDG is transforming Defence ICT capabilities as a critical enabler of Defence business. We build and maintain critical ICT infrastructure and systems, such as classified and secure military systems. We provide a modern, secure, sustainable and scalable information environment to enable current and future military and business operations. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will need to demonstrate clear experience in corporate governance at the program level, as well as: A strong understanding of risk management, financial oversight, reporting frameworks, and workforce management. Extensive experience leading cross‑functional teams. Excellent communication skills, with experience producing executive papers and corporate communications. Being a collaborative leader, exemplify the Defence Values and Behaviours, and engender a culture of innovation and agility, considering and respecting a diversity of ideas and perspectives of others. Effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure deliverables are met. Capability to provide timely and accurate advice to senior leaders and Government on complex matters and have excellent judgement and strategic awareness.
