We are seeking a capable and resourceful HR Manager to help build and strengthen our people and safety foundations as we grow. About the Role In this hands‑on role, you will support the employee experience and people operations for our Australian team, working closely with the General Manager locally and our VP of Human Resources in the US. This role offers development, exposure, and ownership – ideal for an HR professional who enjoys operations, is ready for broader responsibility, and wants to grow their capability in a supportive and collaborative environment. Human Resources Manage end‑to‑end HR processes: recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding Provide advice on Fair Work, employment standards, and internal policies Maintain HR documentation, policies, and accurate employee records Support leaders with performance reviews and probation processes Coordinate payroll inputs with our external payroll partner (no prior payroll experience required) Manage leave, contracts, and updates through Employment Hero Work Health & Safety Maintain WHS systems including registers, induction records, and incident reporting Support WHS training and onboarding for lab and office staff Coordinate return‑to‑work processes Partner with external WHS advisors and internal leaders Drive continuous improvement across WHS documentation and processes This role is perfect for someone who likes variety, values ownership, and enjoys building and strengthening frameworks in a growing environment. What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or similar. 3+ years’ experience in an HR generalist role Understanding of Fair Work and employment legislation Foundational WHS experience (incident reporting, risk assessments, training support) Strong communication and relationship‑building skills A proactive, curious mindset and confidence to seek clarity when needed Good judgement, organisation, and discretion Experience supporting managers and teams in day‑to‑day people matters Nice to Have (but not essential) Experience in healthcare, science, diagnostics, or a regulated environment Experience with Employment Hero or similar HRIS and/or Quality Management Systems Benefits Opportunity to help build strong people and safety foundations Supportive team and meaningful mission in healthcare Modern, purpose‑built laboratory and office (including your very own) Free onsite parking Victoria Park across the road – perfect for lunchtime walks or bike rides End‑of‑journey facilities 3 days/week Collaboration with global peers and future growth opportunities We welcome all backgrounds.
