This role ensures the efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant operation of all fleet activities, including maintenance, safety, and logistics coordination. The Fleet Manager will lead a team of drivers and logistics personnel, driving operational excellence and contributing to the company’s strategic goals. Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel to minimize downtime. Meet the client’s logistics needs effectively by providing them with advice and information regarding vehicle type. Plan and implement transportation schedules ensuring optimal performance. Ensure goods are stored and transported in conditions that maintain their quality. Prepare and maintain business records and regular reports on fleet performance, costs, etc. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers. Lead and support a team of drivers and logistics personnel, fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 1 year in fleet management or a similar role within the logistics and transportation industry. Proficiency in fleet management software and tracking systems. In‑depth understanding of Australian transport regulations and compliance requirements. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, drivers, and stakeholders.
