Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service – Rockhampton QLD The Clinical Governance, Quality and Safety Division leads and supports the delivery of safe, effective, and person‑centred care across Central Queensland Health. Operating as a trusted business partner to all clinical delivery areas, the Division provides expert guidance, governance frameworks, and practical support to ensure care is delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety. Through close collaboration, it helps clinical teams translate data, evidence, and insights into meaningful improvement actions that enhance outcomes for patients, staff, and the organisation. About the role The Reliability and Healthcare Standards team leads the annual audit schedule evaluation, monitors unwarranted variation, and collaborates with key stakeholders to embed patient safety and quality initiatives that create meaningful change. It supports governance frameworks, benchmarking programmes, policy and procedure oversight, and the development of new models of care. Additionally, the team provides education and at‑the‑elbow training in clinical governance, health care standards, clinical audit, quality improvement, accreditation, ensuring Central Queensland Health consistently delivers safe, reliable, and high‑quality care. About you Experience in analysing business processes and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal written and the ability to consult and negotiate with clients and staff at all levels of the organisation. Proficiency or ability to rapidly acquire skills in the use of multiple information systems utilised for administrative purposes. While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
