Inland Rail Project Specialist Company: UGL Location: Australia-NSW-Blue Mountains & Central West Employment type: Full-time Ref: Job Purpose: The Inland Rail Project Specialist is the liaison officer for all Inland Rail applications, managing the interface between the Inland Rail Team, CRN and TfNSW for this programme of works. Key Responsibilities: Assess compliance of applications with UGLRL CRN requirements for certifications and independent review. Ensure that the elements of work/activity align with TfNSW strategies. Manage expectations across TfNSW, the proponent and UGLRL stakeholders concerning timeliness. Liaise with internal and external professionals (engineers, design consultants, other organisation principals) to resolve application issues efficiently. Ensure that all projects at interface zones are executed according to quality, environmental, and safety management plans. Access, utilise and maintain existing systems and databases to analyse and produce reports for management of interface/access matters. Identify and recognise risks prior to work commencement and communicate them to relevant stakeholders. Maintain transparency and continuous disclosure throughout the process to avoid surprises for clients, proponents or stakeholders. Ensure that proposals do not negatively impact UGLRL‑CRN and TfNSW’s network safety, integrity or operations. Document all recommendations, evidence and stakeholder support. Ensure compliance with legal, professional and ethical standards. Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through proactive professional communication. Communicate compliance and non‑compliance to third parties. Provide detailed information regarding approval processes and requirements. Represent UGLRL‑CRN at client meetings as required. Qualifications: At least 3 years post‑tertiary experience in rail or infrastructure projects. Experience managing a small team of contract administrators and associated activities, with an understanding of contract management policies and procedures. Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills suitable for teamwork. Strong written communication and IT skills.
