Vice President of Product Engineering, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) $400,000/year USD Base Pay Range $200.00/hr – $200.00/hr About the Role Are you a technical product leader with deep engineering expertise ready to spearhead the transformation of education through AI? 2 Hour Learning seeks an executive‑level technical product owner who will act as a de‑facto CTO while driving the AI‑driven learning platform forward. This role demands technical depth, product clarity, and a commitment to unlock student achievement at scale. Responsibilities Build and apply comprehensive education product knowledge to inform strategic choices. Craft technical specifications that resolve critical decisions, emphasizing simplicity, performance, and sustainable design. Deploy generative AI solutions to automate and optimize engineering workflows. Control architecture and technical direction of the learning ecosystem while maintaining product velocity. Make difficult technical trade‑offs to keep products efficient, scalable, and laser‑focused on advancing student results. Aspire to the CTO mindset while delivering product‑level impact. What You Won’t Be Doing Pure people management – your technical and business judgment defines this role. Time spent in routine meetings, committees, or procedural overhead. Develop abstract strategies without actionable implementation paths. Key Responsibilities Serve as the CTO of one or more education products, controlling core technical capabilities and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership. Basic Requirements Deep experience or strong interest in data‑driven learning science. 7+ years of experience making architectural and design decisions on software projects. 2+ years of experience with cloud computing services (primarily AWS). 4+ years of ownership on revenue‑generating products. Experience building product features that use Generative AI. Experience using Generative AI to simplify work processes. About 2 Hour Learning 2 Hour Learning is rewriting education by integrating AI and learning science to eliminate the limitations of the traditional classroom. Their AI‑driven platform helps students achieve exceptional academic growth in just two hours a day. Working with Us This full‑time (40 hours per week) role is available immediately and requires entering an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
