Position Overview Tiwi Land Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Governance, Risk and Compliance Officer (GRCO) to join our small team. This position will report into the Chief Finance Officer and will work closely with the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) and be responsible for providing high level advice and assistance to the Land Council in implementing strategies to: ensure compliance with applicable systems, processes, policies, contracts and legislative obligations, entrench good governance practices within the Land Council appropriately manage risk; co-ordinate the internal audit activities of the Land Council The ideal applicant will possess a degree in Commerce, Business or Law and demonstrated work experience in a corporate governance or risk management setting. Ability to interact respectfully and positively with Traditional Owner's and local members of the community is essential, as is the willingness to travel to community by light aircraft or ferry. Ability to deliver training/workshops, will be well regarded.
