We are seeking an Assistant Business Manager to support leading our team in Nepean, NSW. The Assistant Business Manager is essential for achieving our goal of making employment opportunities accessible for everyone. As the Assistant Business Manager, you will support the Business Manager to lead the region with portfolio responsibility in claims and other activities that support success in the team. Your passion for excellence will see you manage industry‑leading processes and structures. Key Accountabilities The key accountabilities of this role outline the primary responsibilities and expectations. Percentages indicate the approximate proportion of time allocated to each area. Claims Management – 70% Prepare, process, and submit all claims and progress fees accurately and on time. Lead weekly claims meetings with internal stakeholders to maximise outcomes and build strong working relationships. Achieve monthly claims and progress fee targets, contributing to high claim and retention rates. Maintain detailed claims plans to track customer progress and drive timely results. Manage wage subsidy processes end‑to‑end and provide ongoing support to employers. Validate auto OS claims with required evidence. Contact employers of anchored customers within seven days (with consent) to offer support, strengthen relationships, and coordinate wage subsidy and evidence activities—maintaining regular follow‑up. Compliance & Leadership – 25% Ensure full compliance with contractual and organisational requirements. Provide leadership support across all sites within the ESA. Promote customer‑centric service delivery. Assist the Business Manager with site operations, including customer interviews, registrations, pop‑ups, and customer attraction activities. Support daily team meetings to drive performance. Provide claims assistance to other ESAs or sites as required. WISE Role Model – 5% Always behave in line with WISE Values. Comply with WHS policies and procedures. Deliver industry‑leading customer centricity to customers. Support site growth by attending pop‑ups etc when required. Essential Criteria Experience in the management of processes and a proven track record in achieving excellence. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Demonstrate experience of achieving and exceeding Key Performance Indicators. Hold or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check. Driver’s License. Desirable Criteria 2‑3 years’ experience in service industries such as employment services, nursing, banking and finance, travel, hospitality, sales, retail and community services. Current participation in WISE Employment’s Emerging Leaders program. Hold or are working toward relevant qualifications, for example Business Management, Community Services etc. Competent computer skills with the ability to learn and utilise new software and applications (ideally Microsoft 365).
