About the Role We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our Warnervale workshop and help drive the next chapter of Coastal Truck Services’ growth. This is a leadership role where you’ll oversee daily workshop operations, guide a skilled team, and ensure our customers receive exceptional service every time. What you'll be doing Lead and manage all workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow, staffing and workshop financials Ensure all vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards— in compliance with NHVR Heavy Vehicle inspection and maintenance standards Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service Provide hands‑on technical guidance and mentorship to workshop mechanics and apprentices Implement and maintain workshop safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Coordinate with clients and suppliers to manage job requirements, parts ordering, and service delivery Monitor and maintain workshop equipment and tools to optimise productivity Collaborate with the broader Coastal Group team to identify opportunities for process improvements, business opportunities and cost efficiencies What we’re looking for Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Diesel Mechanics Demonstrated experience as a Workshop Manager or similar leadership role Strong technical expertise in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers and specialised equipment Effective leadership and people‑management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor and support a high‑performing team Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers and the workshop team Proficient in using workshop management software and data‑analysis tools Thorough understanding of industry regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements Ready to make a change?
