Are you a seasoned Fabrication Workshop Manager ready to drive success in a dynamic, high-growth environment? A leading Sydney-based engineering firm specializing in comprehensive project services is seeking a motivated leader to manage their busy workshop in Wetherill Park . The Role: Your Impact This is a key leadership position where you'll be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards . You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, safety, and productivity of the workshop, reporting directly to the Director and Engineering Manager. Key Responsibilities Include: Safety & Compliance: Championing OHS regulations and maintaining safe work practices at all times. Team Leadership: Effectively managing and supervising workshop staff, including new employee inductions and ongoing training. Productivity & Quality: Driving workshop efficiency, prioritizing and coordinating all jobs, and performing regular checks and audits to ensure quality workmanship . Project Management Support: Liaising with managers to monitor work in progress , predict and communicate potential delays, and manage completion/delivery dates. Operational Excellence: Ensuring the workshop is operational daily by 6 AM , controlling costs, managing material waste, and overseeing unscheduled repair works. What You'll Need Relevant trade qualifications in Fabrication are essential. Demonstrated experience in directing and managing staff . A strong commitment to quality and safety . Excellent work ethic, punctuality, and a proactive 'Can Do' attitude. Proficiency in MS Office and high attention to detail.
