About the Office The ACT Audit Office, established in 1990, has over three decades of experience providing an independent view of the ACT Public Sector, fostering accountability within the Territory and promoting efficiency and effectiveness of ACT public services. Role Overview We are looking for financial statement auditors with high integrity and excellent auditing, accounting, investigatory, communication and interpersonal skills to join the financial audit team. As an Auditor in Financial Audit, you will contribute to strong financial management and accountability across the ACT Government through participation in financial statement audits and limited assurance engagements. Your work directly influences community confidence across critical services, including Health, Education, Capital Infrastructure and Social Services. The auditor typically works within a small audit team, performing assigned audit tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior staff. Key Qualifications & Experience Relevant tertiary professional accounting, audit, data analytics, and/or information technology qualifications. Completion or progress toward completion of professional post‑graduate qualifications (e.g., CPA Australia, CA ANZ, CISA) highly desirable. Prior experience in auditing and/or accounting. Strong communication skills and alignment to organisational values: Integrity, Professionalism, Respect, Learning and Innovation.
