Executive Director, Operations Southern NSW Local Health District Band 2 Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) is seeking an accomplished leader to serve as Executive Director, Operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the role is second‑in‑charge for the district and leads operations across 11 hospitals, 2 community health facilities and a range of district services in regional NSW. Remit Clinical, physical, human and financial resources for inpatient and community health. Single Point of Care, including Patient Flow, District Hospital in the Home and Virtual Care. Medical Imaging. Health Services Planning. Health Information Management. District services (Cancer and Oncology, Palliative Care, Aged Care and Voluntary Assisted Dying, Renal Services, Violence Abuse and Neglect, Child and Population programs, Dental Services). Broad range of corporate services. The Executive Director, Operations will drive performance and improvement programmes, lead major capital works such as the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, and ensure clinical governance systems meet national standards. A key focus will be the implementation of a three‑year financial turnaround plan, managing a $380 million operational budget and overseeing more than $400 million in capital works. Required Experience and Skills Accustomed to large, complex health service and hospital environments, preferably with regional or rural exposure. Demonstrated ability to oversee operational delivery across diverse health settings, manage large budgets, and balance competing priorities. Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record in strategic planning, performance management and driving major capital works. Experience building high‑performing teams, developing executive capability and leading continuous improvement agendas. Effective engagement with clinicians, community stakeholders and government agencies to deliver patient‑centred care and sustainable organisational outcomes. Remuneration The role is located in Queanbeyan, with travel across the District, and offers an attractive senior‑executive package of between $298,631 and $336,050 per annum for this Band 2 position. Deputy Information Southern NSW Local Health District covers 44,534 sq km and serves a population of over 209,000 residents. The District provides comprehensive services including emergency, intensive care, coronary care, maternity, mental health, acute medical and surgical services, and primary and community care.
