Cafe & Wellness Officer – Uniting Overview Uniting is seeking a Café Wellness Worker to work in our Chinese speaking facility in Ashfield, providing assistance in the provision of leisure and lifestyle services within the facility and delivering activities consistent with legislative requirements. This is a casual role. Responsibilities Communicate well with clients with varied needs and backgrounds. Oversee the food safety program, maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and safety of food service areas and equipment. Lead, guide and direct staff with planning of activity programs, liaising with team members, residents and carers. Ensure all residents can participate in activity programs of interest and can achieve desired outcomes. Confirm activity program with the Manager detailing residents involved, timetable and resources. Complete evaluation of activities, daily participation sheets and other paperwork ensuring continuous improvement. Develop activities that account for previous interests and current capabilities, enhancing residents' quality of life. Qualifications Good insight into the health, social or aged care services industries. Exceptional communication and customer service skills; ability to get along with others. Collaborative teamwork and confident decision making. Strong understanding of work health and safety principles and risk management practices. Confident use of electronic communication tools, including documentation systems, email and mobile phone. Excellent organisation and time management skills. Resilient, resourceful and embody Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness. Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or equivalent qualifications or demonstrated competency.
