This is a unique fusion of technical leadership and educational innovation—both CTO-level authority and startup agility combined. In this role you will design the technical DNA of our entire educational ecosystem, ensuring the platform remains lean, infinitely scalable, and laser-focused on transforming student achievement. Base Pay Range $200 USD / hour, equating to $400,000 USD per year (40 hrs / week, 50 weeks / year). Payment is weekly. What You Will Be Doing Cultivate profound expertise in educational technology to inform high-stakes strategic choices Craft comprehensive technical blueprints that prioritize elegance, performance, and sustainable growth Leverage cutting-edge generative AI to revolutionize development workflows and eliminate repetitive manual processes What You Won't Be Doing Managing teams as your primary function; your technical and strategic expertise will be your primary value drivers Getting bogged down in bureaucratic processes or endless meeting cycles; our streamlined operations free you to focus on high-impact technical work Creating abstract strategies without actionable frameworks; every recommendation must be grounded in practical product insights Principal Product Architect Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical visionary for our educational products, mastering core technologies while delivering measurable business impact through flawless execution and strategic foresight. Basic Requirements Extensive background and genuine passion for evidence-based educational methodology 7+ years crafting critical architectural and design frameworks for software systems, with expertise in design patterns and major open-source technologies 2+ years architecting solutions leveraging cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) 4+ years owning complete technical and delivery accountability for profitable products Proven track record developing sophisticated generative AI-powered features Demonstrated success implementing generative AI to optimize operational workflows About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn't have to be. They're tearing down the outdated one-size-fits-all model and replacing it with AI-driven personalized learning that helps kids master academics in just two hours a day. Students consistently rank in the top 1-2% nationally, and the top 20% achieve an astonishing 6.5× growth. Working with Us This is a full-time (40 hours per week) long-term position, immediately available. The role requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover. Compensation is $200 USD / hour, equating to $400,000 USD / year (40 hrs / week, 50 weeks / year). Payment is weekly.
