We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who shares our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business.**About the opportunity** Westgold Resources are sourcing an experienced and safety focused WHS advisor to ensure compliance with the company's integrated management system and mine management system. With Westgold's Southern Operations expansion, this newly created role will be offered to the successful candidate on a permanent 8:6 roster and based at our Beta Hunt mine site. **The role includes*** Assisting in the maintenance and monitoring of all WHS Statutory requirements for the operation, including the statutory reporting requirements.* Provide expert and practical advice on WHS controls to the operational site teams* Provide assistance and guidance to site personnel in relation to incident reporting and investigations* Participate in the implementation of the Annual Westgold WHS Strategic Plan* Assist with the development of site-specific procedures when required* Ensure, weekly month and WHS statistical reports are completed as per site and corporate requirements* Ensure incident investigation findings are correct* Verify safety records are maintained, and that the quality of the records is consistent with site standards and requirements* Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (required)* Cert IV in Training and Assessment / HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (desirable)* Demonstrated experience working in the mining/resources sector* A sound understanding of the WHS legislation and statutory requirements* Sound knowledge of Risk and Audit* Ability to meet set deadlines and manage projects* Proficient in MS Office* Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal**The Westgold Offer:** A permanent full-time position at a successful gold producer **A range of benefits including:*** Performance based bonus* Group salary continuous insurance* A health and wellness allowance Health insurance discount* A range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy and adoption.* Referral Bonus - bring your mates along* 5 years' pro rata long service leave* Salary sacrifice options* Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that include free confidential counselling, wellbeing services that includes financial advice.Our full list of benefits and why we are recognised as an Endorsed Employer for Women by Work 180 can be seen on the Work180 website.Westgold is driven by our core values of Show Respect, Choose Safety and Deliver Value.
