Posted 1 day ago Company Summary We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Site Engineer to join a busy fitout and refurbishment contractor delivering high‑quality commercial and interior projects across the Sydney Metro area . This is a site‑based role , ideally suited to someone with a trades background who is looking to step up or further develop their engineering and site management capabilities. Responsibilities Support day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification. Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and site logistics to maintain smooth project workflow. Assist in developing and monitoring construction programs, short‑term planning, and site sequencing. Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure compliance with project documentation and standards. Review drawings, identify clashes, and raise RFIs where required. Maintain site records, daily diaries, SWMS, permits, and progress reporting. Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to resolve site issues and support project delivery. Requirements Trades background essential (carpentry, interiors, shopfitting, or similar). Experience in fitout, refurbishment, commercial interiors, or related construction sectors. Strong understanding of site operations, construction sequencing, and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents. Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
