About the role Protech Cairns are seeking Asphalt workers to assist in road surfacing around the Cairns region. Multiple roles are now available with both local and intrastate crews looking for Asphalt Hands, Excavator and Bobcat Operators, Spreader Truck Operators, Bitumen Sprayer Operators. All applicants must be willing to work night shifts and remotely if required. Key Role Tasks Ability to undertake asphalt paver operations Ability to undertake road profiler operations Able to undertake a number of manual handling/ labouring duties. Available day and/or night shifts Identify and report any product quality problems Conduct job estimations including planning and job progress To be considered for this position Previous experience in Asphalt or/and Bitumen sprayer desirable but not essential Current MR or HR Drivers Licence desirable but not essential *Must have drivers license and vehicle* Current Machinery tickets (Roller, Skid Steer, Excavator) desirable but not essential White Card Be physically fit and able to carry out heavy labouring duties A high regard for safety An honest and reliable work ethic Confidence to work unsupervised or in a team environment What’s in it for you? $36 – $38 per hour Allowances covered Standard PPE provided Employee Assistance Program – Feel supported Protech Perks: Discounted Health Insurance with NIB, Banked Hours, Corporate Banking Options for Home Loans.
