We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer to become part of our skilled and dedicated engineering team based at our fit‑for‑purpose office in St Marys - Sydney NSW or be based and work out of New Zealand. About the opportunity Review customer requirements (specification), determine product to provide best match and provide detailed quotation as required; Create and maintain product detailed product BOM’s for Value Added Products; Monitor manufactured costs and compare to sell price and observe margins; Assist with maintenance of ERP System in relation to product descriptions and costs; Engineering of BITZER Value Added products, including Compressors, Pipework, Pressure Vessels, Frames and Heat Exchangers; Preparation of paperwork for Production of BITZER Value Added Products, including detailed P&ID’s, review and approval of designs; Support the preparation and ongoing maintenance of Operation and Maintenance Manuals for products within the assigned product portfolio; Maintain Design Control Procedures including all relevant information on design are to be maintained throughout each project; On the completion of product design, this role will be responsible for full integration into the manufacturing division. This includes all drawing, bills of material, costing, product brochures and assistance with marketing tools; Co‑ordinate closely with other Engineering staff, Sales Staff and Production to ensure that any alterations/upgrades are implemented smoothly and efficiently to minimise impact on all parties; Instigate any corrective actions required as directed by management; Critical assessment of existing product portfolio will be required for continuous improvement and focus on ongoing cost reduction through design improvement, component and procedural substitution.
