Headquartered in Perth, we are a national company and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quanta Services Inc., a New York Stock Exchange listed company (NYSE:PWR).About the Role:Based at our Brisbane office, we are currently seeking suitably qualified and energetic Engineering Manager from a Process Engineering background.The Engineering Manager, East Coast is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the East Coast engineering team including leading the process engineering team and reviewing and approving applicable process engineering deliverables. The Engineering Manager, East Coast will coordinate these activities in liaison with the GM of Engineering, Principal and Lead Engineers and other discipline leads and will ensure that relevant project technical requirements, budget and schedule objectives are maintained. The Lead Process Engineer will be required to liaise with clients and their vendors and contractors and manage Enscope sub-contractor’s as applicable to the project requirementsThe ideal candidate will have great leadership skills and 10 - 15 years’ experience previous process engineering experience in the gas and energy engineering and construction sector, and experience on facilities construction and commissioning projects, major EPC projects and/or Infrastructure projects will be advantageous.To be successful, you will preferably have experience working as part of a multidisciplined team in oil and gas or petrochemical projects and studies.Manage a team of 5 - 10 multi disciplined engineersEngineering input and checking of design deliverablesCheck or approve engineering tasks within the allocated timeframe to the specified quality levelCheck or Approve PDF’s, Heat and Mass Balance, P&ID’s, Equipment Lists, DatasheetsCheck or Approve plant equipment process design parameters including Hysys inputs and outputs, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, vessels etcCheck or Approve engineering calculations including pipe sizing, PSV’s equipment sizing, calculationParticipate in concept and select studies, HAZOP’s, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, FAT’s, SAT’sPreparation or overseeing technical documentationCommissioning documentation checking and approvalSupport development of process engineers, including training and career developmentProvide technical engineering advice and supportLiaison with clients and suppliersProcurement and package engineering supportParticipation in HAZOP and other technical risk assessmentsFamiliarity with the relevant Australian and International Standards,Ability to work efficiently, effectively and to hard deadlines,Essential Qualities and BackgroundDegree qualifications in Process Engineering with minimum 10 years' post graduate experience in an aligned industry, preferably oil and gas or Petrochemical projects.Demonstrated experience in a management role and as a people leaderExperience in an engineering technical leadership, project management, proposal development, plus building capability in the business to meet current and future demands.Strong computer literacy skills with advanced knowledge of MS applications.Knowledge of Aspen Hysys software packageAbility to work efficiently, effectively and to hard deadlines.Adaptability to be able to work directly from project or client's offices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal & external stakeholders.BehavioursConsistent with the Company purpose, we also look for all employees to demonstrate the following behaviours:Be available, supportive and accessibleBack yourself and each otherBe accountableOpen, honest conversationsDemonstrate ethical behaviour – do the right thingBring energy to everything we doChallenge yourself to improve & growYour ProfileWe have a strong commitment to delivering on our promises and to the growth of our business through the growth of our people.The successful applicant will thrive in an environment reflecting these values and will be able to demonstrate the skills above.
