Our IA function is made up of multiple teams that work together to help the bank move at pace safely, leveraging our enterprise-wide perspective and independence. The Audit Manager role iskey to delivering high-quality assurance over the Markets business. You will execute audit tasks aligned with methodology, contributing to the assessment of risks and controls, and delivery of audits . You will be supporting the Markets audit team in delivering safe, effective outcomes for customers, the Board, and regulators. This role embodies Internal Audit’s purpose of being a trusted, independent voice that promotes strong risk management across the bank. Role Location : 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 or 242 Pitt Street, Sydney, NSW 2000Work Hours: Full time, 40 hrs/week What will your day look like? As the Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager, you will be accountable for: Designing and delivering assurance activities that effectively identify risks and controls, ensuring audits meet objectives and are completed within budget. Building strong relationships with stakeholders to gain buy-in for audit outcomes and driving improvements in the risk and control environment. Understanding the business strategy and sharing insights with the audit team to support proactive risk management and add value. Executing audits in line with Internal Audit methodology, delivering high-quality reports, and providing timely updates on progress and findings. Contributing to strategic initiatives and maintaining a current view of the Markets portfolio’s risk landscape through ongoing feedback and collaboration. Collaborating globally across ANZ’s Institutional network, gaining exposure to various business functions and contributing to cross-regional audit delivery. In addition, Senior Audit Managers will be accountable for leading and supporting audit teams, providing guidance, feedback, and promoting knowledge sharing across Internal Audit. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following: Strong understanding of risk, control, and regulatory frameworks within a Markets environment. Extensive experience in audit, assurance, or risk management, with deep banking and finance industry knowledge. Proven ability to lead complex assurance projects, using data analytics to enhance risk assessment and audit execution. Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with a track record of working effectively with senior executives. Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
