About our client, WA Football WA Football is the governing body for Australian Rules Football in WA. With a vision to enhance and promote the game throughout the community, driving participation, inclusion, and connection across every level of football. About the Role We're seeking an inspiring, empowering and strategic leader to drive the development and delivery of WA Football's First Nations and Multicultural Programs across Western Australia. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring football remains an inclusive, accessible, and culturally safe sport for all communities. As the Head of First Nations and Multicultural Programs, you will : Lead the strategic direction and growth of First Nations and Multicultural participation and volunteer pathways across WA. Oversee key engagement initiatives, events, and carnivals that celebrate and strengthen cultural identity through football. Develop and deliver cultural competency programs from grassroots to WAFL level. Build and maintain meaningful partnerships with the AFL, government agencies, community leaders, and funding partners. Manage a dedicated team of program specialists and officers. Seek grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities to drive sustainable program outcomes. About you We're looking for a collaborative and values-driven leader who brings : Demonstrated experience leading teams and programs with a hands‑on approach, particularly in community engagement, sport, or related fields. Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills. Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills with confidence engaging various audiences. Proven ability to manage budgets and drive measurable outcomes. Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends for events. Knowledge of AFL football industry, structures and pathways.
