About the role and what you’ll do Banyule Bpi is uniquely placed by delivering both Statutoryfunctions for Banyule Council Municipality and also offers a Building permitservice to Banyule residents as well as surrounding suburbs. This enables team members to be exposed toall facets of the Building Surveying profession, encouraging growth, continuousimprovement, learning and upskilling. In this diverse role you’ll: provide support to the Municipal BuildingSurveyor in providing an effective Building enforcement and Building permitservice. provide information and assistance to members ofthe community in regard to policies and legislation, including Building Controlresponsibilities of Council and Building Regulations. consistently contribute to the building team inall aspects of both statutory and permit functions and positive customerservice outcomes. About you (what you'll bring/what we are looking for) Tertiary qualification in Building Surveying (Bachelordegree or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying) or currently undertaking. Previous experience with buildingsurveying/inspections. Demonstrated technical knowledge of Building Act1993 and Building Regulations 2018, and the ability to apply this knowledge. Well‑developed written and oral communicationskills. Ability to liaise effectively with a broad rangeof people with varying social and economic backgrounds. Ability to work in a busy team environment, aswell as independently. Pre‑employment requirements Driver's Licence We offer: Salary $98,255.03 to $106,820.88 per annum, plussuper.
