We are now seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager to build upon our robust approach to risk management. This pivotal role ensures every aspect of our school environment is safe, compliant, and effectively managed, provides expert advice and guidance on all matters relating to risk management and safety and fosters a positive, proactive culture of compliance across the School. Commencing in January 2026, this role offers flexible days and hours to suit the ideal candidate. Key Responsibilities In this multi-faceted role, you will: Lead the ongoing review and enhancement of the risk management framework and register; Audit, refine and improve systems, policies and procedures to ensure robust risk management; Meet the requirements of the School’s Compliance calendar; Champion OHS risk management, including acting as the Return to Work Coordinator; Support the Property & Services Manager in maintaining Essential Safety Measures compliance program and contractor inductions; Support the Business Manager with effective maintenance of School insurances; and Effectively manage the Risk, Compliance and OHS budget. What you need To thrive in this role, you will bring: Excellent practical knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Strong knowledge of OHS Legislation (including psychological safety), and of emerging trends Proven experience managing risk and compliance in a medium sized organisation (education sector preferred) Knowledge of Child Safety standards, policies and procedures Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a growth mindset High level communication skills with the ability to translate complex information simply Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite Working with Children Check (employee) National Police Check Relevant tertiary qualification (within a related discipline), or the equivalent practical experience Current Drivers Licence What you can receive At Fintona, you will be part of a welcoming and collegial community that values professionalism, collaboration, and personal growth.
