Automotive Financial Controller

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Financial Controller to join our dynamic finance team at Phoenix Motors, headquartered in Wangara. As the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our dealership group, playing a crucial role in supporting the company's strategic objectives. This is a full-time position based at our Wangara dealership. Candidates must have existing Australian work rights as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. What you'll be doing Manage the end-to-end financial operations for the dealership, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial processes and improve operational efficiencies Participate in the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment What we're looking for Experience as a financial controller or senior accounting role, preferably within the automotive or a related industry Thorough understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Proficient in the use of financial software and systems, Pentana eraPower knowledge would be a great advantage. Training will be provided on our specific ERP systems for candidates with general financial software experience Proven track record of leading and managing a team Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and membership in a professional accounting body (CPA, CA, or ACCA) will be highly regarded What we offer At Phoenix Motors, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
