Project Manager

Brunton Engineering & Construction is a proudly Australian, family-owned business delivering specialist civil, structural and mechanical solutions across road, rail and critical infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of works across structural steel, concrete and rail environments, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager (10+ years) to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects. About the Role As a senior member of our delivery team, you will take full ownership of project outcomes—from early feasibility and client engagement through to design management, fabrication oversight, construction and commissioning. You will be responsible for driving project performance, managing key stakeholders, and ensuring all works, especially those on-site, are delivered safely, on time and to Brunton's high quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead full lifecycle delivery of civil, structural and rail infrastructure projects Manage project budgets, cost control, cash flow forecasting and commercial reporting Prepare, review and negotiate tenders, quotations and technical submissions Oversee contract administration, variations, EOTs and risk management Coordinate civil and structural design development, temporary works, constructability and value engineering Provide technical oversight across structural steel, concrete, and rail infrastructureReview drawings, specifications and fabrication packages for compliance and buildability (Optional but advantageous) Manage CAD outputs in AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures Construction Delivery Lead programming, procurement, staging and methodology development Manage subcontractors, suppliers and fabrication partners across workshop and site Supervise on-site works, ensuring WHS, ISO-aligned quality controls and environmental compliance Resolve daily design, technical and construction issues to keep works on track About You We are looking for a senior engineering professional who brings: 10+ years' experience in civil/structural engineering or infrastructure project delivery, particularly the execution of works in a site environment Strong leadership in multidisciplinary environments, ideally within road, rail or public-sector infrastructure Proven experience overseeing civil, concrete works and subcontractor management A hands-on, solutions-focused approach aligned with delivering quality outcomes A current manual driver's licence and willingness to travel intermittently across Victoria? + Bachelor degree in engineering or related field What We Offer Competitive salary package commensurate with experience Genuine career progression within a growing business Exposure to unique, technically challenging infrastructure projects Access to leadership and advanced engineering training programs A collaborative, close-knit team culture where your contribution has real impact How to Apply We invite applications from suitably qualified Australian and New Zealand candidates.Please submit your CV and cover letter to International applicants and agency submissions will not be considered.
