Join a legacy of Leadership and Impact. Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia (WoSSCA), formerly the Alice Springs Women’s Shelter, has been a cornerstone of support for women and children since 1975. Born from grassroots activism and community care, WoSSCA has grown from a volunteer-run centre into a leading specialist service committed to safety, empowerment, and cultural respect. As we continue to evolve and strengthen our services, we invite passionate, values-driven professionals to be part of our journey, helping shape a safer, more inclusive future for women and children across Central Australia. Who We Are: Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia (WoSSCA) is a specialist, not-for-profit organisation providing safe, supportive services for women and children experiencing domestic, family, and sexual violence. Guided by a feminist framework, we empower women and children to make informed decisions that enhance their safety, wellbeing, and respect their culture and worldview. Our services include 24-hour crisis accommodation, outreach support, court advocacy, partner contact for men’s behaviour change programs, co-responder functions, and community development and training. Through strong partnerships and advocacy, we are committed to driving change and improving outcomes for those affected by violence. WoSSCA is equally committed to organisational sustainability: investing in our people, growing our workforce, and fostering a strong, inclusive workplace culture. Your Role: The Manager of the Crisis Accommodation Service reports directly into the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is a key leadership position. The position will lead a team to provide a strengths-based, culturally safe and responsive service to women and children. This role requires skills in leadership, strategy, service delivery and stakeholder engagement. What You’ll Bring: In this role, you’ll empower staff to reflect, grow, and deliver best practice support for women and children. You’ll take charge of best practice rostering, build strong partnerships with other services, and champion collaboration to create holistic, integrated care. Your analytical skills will excel as you oversee data and reporting, identify emerging trends, and shape proactive responses. Plus, you’ll play a key role in reviewing and implementing policies and frameworks that set the standard for quality and impact. Who We’re Looking For: We’re looking for a purpose-driven leader who brings clarity, initiative, and empathy to their work. You’ll make thoughtful, logical decisions, engage your team in collaborative planning, and proactively solve problems with a focus on continuous improvement. As a strong advocate and courageous communicator, you’ll guide others with confidence, foster trust, and energise your team through complex challenges. What We Provide: You will join a values driven organisation that is committed to shaping safer futures for women and children in central Australia. We are committed to investing in our people, and you’ll collaborate with a high-performing leadership team driven by passion, purpose, and a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact. You will receive comprehensive training and professional development throughout your employment. You will have the opportunity to participate in training such as Fundamentals of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, Risk Assessment and Management Framework (RAMF), Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Trauma Informed Practice, Mandatory Reporting and much more. The Benefits: You will receive a competitive base salary with additional salary packaging benefits and 12% superannuation. In addition, we provide 15 days of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Leave and offer a Wellbeing Allowance. You will also receive 6 weeks annual leave to explore Alice Springs and Central Australia. How to Apply: Please visit the WoSSCA website to view a comprehensive position description for the role. Alternatively, please contact Larissa Ellis on or for more information. Please submit a one-page cover letter, addressing the selection criteria and a comprehensive resume. All positions are based in Alice Springs; we are unable to consider requests for working from home. Closing Date: 24 December 2025. Applications will close when a suitable applicant is found.
