Base pay range A$150,000.00/yr - A$190,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Capital Executive Search The Role: This is a hands‑on, site‑based EHS leadership role focused predominantly on our clients Western Melbourne campus, where critical construction and expansion work is underway. You will spend the majority of your time onsite — typically 4–6 hours per day — driving visible safety leadership across contractors and project stakeholders. The role complements the recent EHS hire already placed into the team and forms part of a growing Australian safety function. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture Serve as the primary onsite EHS representative supporting the Melbourne project delivery Build and maintain a strong, collaborative safety culture and mindset Conduct regular safety walks, inspections, toolbox talks, and contractor interface Compliance & Governance Ensure alignment with WHS legislation, codes of practice and our clients global standards Manage Construction Safety Management Plans and operational readiness requirements Participate in risk assessments, JSAs, incident investigations, and close‑out actions Contractor & Project Engagement Work closely with Delivery/Construction leadership to ensure safe construction execution Coach and guide contractors to best‑practice safety performance expectations Maintain safety performance data and contribute to internal reporting programs Support implementation of global safety improvement initiatives in Australia Ideal Candidate Profile Solid construction safety experience in high‑risk environments (data centers, power generation, industrial, manufacturing, rail, etc.) Proven ability to influence contractors and site leadership teams Confident applying Australian WHS regulatory frameworks Strong communication, stakeholder management, and risk awareness skills Qualifications Relevant WHS / OHS tertiary qualification or equivalent ICAM investigation and high‑risk safety training desirable Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia #J-18808-Ljbffr
