Where you'll be working Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital What you’ll be doing The Transit Unit is a 10-bed short stay unit which aims to provide an initial period of assessment where care can be referred to the speciality wards or discharged home. The Transit Unit team adopts a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring comprehensive and collaborative patient evaluations. The Transit Lounge experiences a high patient turnover. The preferred candidate should have strong clinical knowledge of care delivery, be skilled in conducting thorough clinical assessments, and be able to identify deteriorating patients promptly. Ability to escape concerns appropriately, supported by sound clinical judgment and excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal. Basic computer skills.
