Venue Manager | Observatory | Darling Group We are looking for a talented Venue Manager to be a part of our newest venue, Observatory, an all-day European dining eatery located in the vibrant heart of the Botanical Gardens. This role will suit an experienced hospitality professional, confident in leading a team of professionalsin a vibrant and highly energetic work environment. The Venue Manager oversees all aspects of the venue operations and ensures the venue is running effectively and efficiently, meeting all company standards each day to include, execution of food and beverage service, guest interaction, atmosphere, cleanliness, team mentoring and achieving financial targets. About The Venue: Observatory services Melburnians with morning coffees, artisanal pastries, fresh-baked goods and signature brunch dishes. With a focus on high-quality ingredients and exceptional service, we aim to create a destination that feels both timeless and contemporary, celebrating the best of European culinary traditions in a brand new, modern setting. Experience &Skills: Passionate about people, hospitality and experiences Previous experience in a management position in a high-volume venue Proven track record of achieving financial targets, for example revenue, cost of goods and labour Exemplary service skills and standards Sophisticated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams and lead by example Strong organisation skills with the capability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. High level of attention to detail and forward thinking to identify opportunities Able and willing to work a rotating roster including weekend, public holiday, morning and evening services.
