ABOUT THE ROLE We have an exciting permanent opportunity for experienced Multi Skilled Operator that holds their Trainer Assessor ticket to join our training team on site. This is a fantastic chance to put your skills to work on one of Queensland's largest mining projects while enjoying an attractive salary. As a Multi Skilled Operator and Trainer Assessor you'll play a key role in upskilling our production workforce. Your focus will be on delivering safe, effective, and engaging training to our operators, ensuring compliance with both site and industry standards. Deliver hands‑on training and assessment for truck operators Support the implementation of site‑specific training strategies and initiatives Maintain accurate training records and documentation Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to training solutions Promote a strong safety culture across the workforce WHATS ON OFFER Brand new EA for 2025 - Guaranteed pay rises (4% per year for the next 3 years) BIBO from Mackay or Townsville Camp accommodation and meals provided at Buffle Park - only 5 minutes bus ride to site Thiess’ commitment to training and development Salary sacrifice options – including flights and novated leasing A range of corporate discounts, including health insurance (Medibank), travel, and retail products ABOUT YOU Minimum of 1 year of prior working experience operating Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders and / or Excavators in a coal mining environment Current and valid SSE signed verified machinery skill lists (Training transcripts), LMS documents Current Trainer / Assessor qualification (Enterprise Trainer / Assessor or equivalent) Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Previous experience as a Trainer Assessor in open cut operations Current QLD Drivers Licence Current Standard 11 ABOUT US Thiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open‑cut and underground mining.
