home_work On-site Posted 2 days ago If you’re looking for a career-boosting step without giving up your lifestyle, this landmark project in South Gippsland is the perfect move. Just a couple of hours from Melbourne, you’ll swap traffic for coastline, noise for fresh air and routine work for the chance to help deliver a major civil upgrade from the ground up. Enjoy weekends surrounded by beaches and nature, all while adding a standout project to your resume. You’ll be part of a newly formed site team where the culture starts with the standards you set and the way you lead. How the team works together, communicates and delivers will take its cue from you, and for an experienced Construction Manager, that level of influence is a big part of the appeal. This role is based on-site, with the Project Director providing support from an off-site location. It’s a structure that gives you autonomy to run the program your way, with someone in your corner who understands the work and clears the path when needed. Your focus will span the full lifecycle of delivery. That means planning, engineering, design, OH&S, environment and quality, along with driving construction across pavement and concrete works, major footings, drainage upgrades, ground stabilisation and the structural elements that tie the upgrade together. You’ll lead and motivate a site team of around 20, maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and the wider community, and ensure budgets, schedules, and cost control are tight. The scope is defined, the planning is solid, and the expectations are clear. Behind this is a trusted commercial and industrial D&C company known for its practical, innovative, and forward-thinking approach. They love thinking outside the box, value teamwork and have the awards to prove their approach works. Leadership is straightforward, expectations are realistic, and they back their people to deliver. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential for further work as the broader upgrade progresses. To be considered, you’ll need a background delivering heavy civil or marine-influenced projects, ideally with experience across concrete, drainage or structural works. A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, and the role requires someone who leads well, communicates clearly and brings a team together that takes pride in doing things correctly. The package sits between $280k and $350k, depending on your experience, and reflects both the responsibility and the opportunity. Call Joshua Dawe on . No polished resume? No problem.
