We are looking for an Employment Consultant to join our team at Ability Options and support the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program. Opportunity The purpose of the role is to build and maintain relationships with employers, ensuring they are aware of and open to hiring individuals with disabilities. The consultant will engage with employers to identify suitable job opportunities that match each participant’s skills and goals. Job Details Job type: Permanent, Full-time, 38 hours per week Location: Macarthur and Sutherland NSW (some travel may be required across Camden, Caringbah and Rockdale) Salary: $65,866 per annum + super and $15,900 in salary packaging + monthly RDOs Your Key Responsibilities Connecting participants/clients to inclusive job opportunities through reverse marketing. Conducting assessments of prospective workplaces ensuring accessibility and cultural safety of participants. Facilitating job search workshops for groups using interactive methods, focusing on resume building, interview preparation and other employment readiness topics. Supporting employers with accepting and processing wage subsidies within the required timeframe. Maintaining accurate records of participant interactions and compliance with all guidelines. Providing continuous post‑placement support to both employers and participants. Meeting performance indicators by converting sale leads into placements. Essential Criteria Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Highly developed administrative and organisational skills. Ability to work in a target‑based, fast‑paced environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people across different cultures and backgrounds. Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative and multi‑task. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team. High level of computer literacy. Satisfactory background checks including Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of and commitment to child‑safe standards and mandatory reporting requirements. Current driver’s licence (minimum P2). Comprehensive car insurance and motor vehicle registration.
