Hunter Project Solutions – Muswellbrook NSW Hunter Project Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in detailed planning for power generation and mining projects. In this full‑time role, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate estimates, comprehensive project planning, and technical documentation to ensure successful execution of complex electrical installations across our projects in the power and mining sectors. What You’ll Be Doing Conduct detailed electrical cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services, for power generation and mining projects. Develop and review detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to optimize project execution. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to gather requirements, clarify scope, and ensure alignment. Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to produce precise estimates and planning documentation. Contribute to the bid process, including tender documentation, pricing strategies, and risk assessments. Monitor project budgets and progress, providing insights and adjustments to ensure cost control and timely delivery. Support project teams with technical guidance, planning insights, and risk mitigation strategies. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to estimating accuracy, project planning, and execution procedures. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in electrical estimating and detailed project planning, particularly within the power generation and mining industries. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industry standards, and construction methods specific to power and mining projects. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Experience with electrical software tools and estimating platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills focused on delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective outcomes.
