We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Engineer / Procurement Specialist to join our Pre‑Construction Team. In this pivotal role, you will work across a variety of projects during the early stages, providing critical technical expertise across both the Design and Procurement phases. This position is also well suited to an experienced Contract Administrator with strong procurement capabilities, a solid technical foundation, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, safe, and efficient project outcomes. Responsibilities Provide design and technical input to the design team, for the first phase of the projects Manage procurement of major subcontractor and supplier agreements Review design and documentation for cost engineer where practical Assist with forecasting and programming Assist with the preparation, review and submission of variations Prepare project documentation and procedures from concept to commissioning Assist with the technical, practical and safety design and construct elements of industrial and commercial projects Review packages and costing for approval by Managers What you need to excel in the role 5+ years post grad engineering, construction management or similar qualification A strong understanding of the design and construction process from tender stage through to completion including Contracts, National Construction Code and Australian Standards Excellent communication and negotiation skills Working knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management and performance reporting Experience in commercial/industrial construction projects Knowledge and use of Procore, MS Project, MS Excel, BlueBeam About the QDC: Q Design and Construct boasts a solid growth forecast with an exciting pipeline of work in Commercial and Industrial projects.
