Construction Engineer

The RoleInitially, you will be Perth-based for the first 6 months and then will be required to travel to the site for the remainder of the contract. You will oversee day-to-day operations on-site in consultation with Project Engineers, Superintendent, and Supervisors. Provide mentoring and technical advice to the project team and wider management. Ensure project-wide compliance to the Safety Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, and the Environmental Management Plans. Manage team outputs across project targets, deliverables, and budgets. Site-wide interface management. Development of the Construction Management Plan. Assist in the management of the weekly and monthly reviews, project forecast, financial performance, and claims validation. Build effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants. Provide guidance in conjunction with the relevant functional support to the project teams on contract interpretation, negotiation, management, and administration.
Requirements for SuccessWhat you will require to be successful in this role:
A degree in Construction Management, Civil or related discipline.
Ability to deliver Piling projects in an effective manner in a variety of techniques.
Hold current work certificates/licences.
Collaborative management style to build close outcome-focused teams.
Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a construction execution, professional services, or project delivery environment.
Stakeholder and client engagement experience across multiple groups and contractors in Western Australia.
