Experienced Electronics/Electrical Engineer now Associate Director for Engineering, Technology Recruitment Location: Remote (Sydney-based preferred) Compensation: Equity-only (Co-founder level) with a clear path to liquidity via dividends and/or exit. Overview Our client is a bootstrapped startup on a mission to improve the lives of older Australians receiving home care services. They have spent the last year building a telephony-based conversational AI platform to provide proactive, high‑value assistance to care teams delivering care to older adults living in their homes. Why We Need You This is a unique and critical role. The brilliant technical co‑founder has unfortunately had to stop all coding indefinitely due to a severe recurrence of RSI. We need a passionate and skilled engineer to step into the breach immediately, take ownership of the codebase, and help cross the finish line. This isn’t a typical “employee” role; this is an opportunity to step in as the engineering leader, with a co‑founder‑level equity stake to match. Immediate Responsibilities (First 30 Days) Take Ownership: Rapidly onboard and understand the existing platform architecture (Dart, Python, JS, GCP/AWS) via a detailed handover from our technical co‑founder. Complete Core Integrations: Finalise the Stripe billing integration to process payments for the trial. Productionise the Platform: Identify and fix critical bugs, stabilise the application, and ensure it’s robust enough for its first live users. Support the Trial: Be the technical lead for our first paid trial, monitoring the system and responding to any issues that arise. Long‑Term Role Lead all aspects of the technical strategy, roadmap, and development. Scale the platform to support a growing user base. Iterate on the product based on user feedback and market needs. Work as a strategic partner to the co‑founder to build and grow the company.
