Operator - Transport Operations (Multiple Roles) Location : Tamworth, NSW Operational role in Council's road maintenance team. Various positions available in our Sealed & Unsealed Roads teams. Appointment to a role that suits your skills and experience. The purpose of this position is to undertake a variety of operational works as part of a team in the maintenance and construction of civil infrastructure. We have a variety of roles available from major repairs on our sealed roads, maintenance grading of unsealed roads as well as repairing footpaths and signs. COULD THIS BE YOU? The successful candidate will bring a positive attitude and an ability to get the job done. Previous road maintenance experience is not critical however you will bring your own unique skills and experience to the team. Responsibilities Operating a range of plant and equipment e.g. Backhoe, Front End Loader, Bobcat, Excavator. Knowledge of engineering infrastructure construction and maintenance techniques. Following procedures and processes. Working with minimal supervision. Working effectively with others. Monitoring and maintaining a safe workplace. Preferred Qualifications Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant or similar OR at least two years experience in a relevant civil construction / maintenance or plant operation related field. WHS General Induction for Construction Work. LR Driver Licence. Immunisations for Q Fever, Hepatitis A & B, Tetanus or willingness to obtain. Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant or other related field is desirable however applicants with 12 months equivalent experience and / or a willingness to obtain this Certificate will be accepted. Salary range: Grade 6 - $1, per week plus superannuation & allowances for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
