Are you a senior leader in Industrial Relations ready to make a significant impact? MTA Queensland is seeking a dynamic, strategic executive to lead our Industrial Relations function, drive performance, and expand our product and service offering to members. As our Head of Industrial Relations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our IR service strategy, ensuring compliance, and delivering innovative solutions to complex workplace challenges. You will be the trusted advisor and advocate for our members, representing their interests at the highest levels and proactively identifying opportunities to modernise and streamline industrial practices. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of effective IR strategies for member businesses. Provide expert, high-level advice on Modern Awards, wages, leave calculations and complex workplace relations matters, including compliance, performance management, disputes, and legislative changes. Represent members at the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals. Identify and drive opportunities to develop and commercialise new products and services. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and interstate counterparts. Monitor industry trends, risks, and compliance issues, and develop proactive strategies to address them. Oversee the creation and delivery of training, workshops, and resources to uplift capability across the sector. Champion continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing templates, processes, and member resources.
