Andrew Walter Constructions is seeking an experienced Backhoe Operator to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania on a full‑time basis. In this pivotal role, you'll be operating a Backhoe / Front End Loader to support our infrastructure projects. What you will be doing Operate and maintain a Backhoe to high standards Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant machinery on construction sites Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on the equipment as required Work closely with the construction team to complete projects on time and to specification Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures What we're looking for Relevant experience as a Plant Operator, ideally in the civil construction industry Valid licences to operate the required equipment Strong understanding of plant machinery maintenance and repair Commitment to working safely and efficiently Good communication and teamwork skills What we offer Andrew Walter Constructions are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
