We are currently seeking a Community Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Home and Community Care team in the Northam area of Western Australia on a casual basis. Our Juniper Home and Community Care team provides community-based care programs that assist our aged customers to continue to live independently in their own homes. Renowned for our commitment to the delivery of person-centred care and best practice in relation to the provision of quality care, you will be working in a supportive environment that encourages initiative and leadership. This position requires the delivery of personal care to our community clients, in addition to providing domestic assistance, transport and social support. Candidates with experience in the delivery of personal care (such as showering, dressing, toileting) to the aged will be viewed favourably. This position is being offered on a permanent part-time basis. Working hours are between 7:30am-6pm Monday to Friday. To be considered for this role you must be available to cover sick leave and holidays. There is no weekend work required. Key Responsibilities Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care Assist customers with administration of correct medication Assist customers with domestic duties, meal preparation and other household tasks to ensure safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes Social Support, including transport to shops or appointments Adherence to Client Care Plan Key Requirements Current Australian driver’s license and reliable car - essential Certificate III Aged Care - desirable Current First Aid certification - desirable Previous experience working in the Community - desirable Understand documentation and relevant aged care legislation Understand principles of Occupational, Safety & Health and correct manual handling Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, families and service providers in a manner which is effective and consistent What’s on offer Attractive rate of pay $32.88-$35.71 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications), plus 11.5% superannuation, plus casual loading Non-profit values driven Western Australian aged care provider All employees have access to Juniperks an online platform that unlocks exclusive retail discounts, employee perks, wellness initiatives and peer acknowledgement Salary Package up to $18,550 per annum tax free Health Insurance discounts Employee Assistance Program with free counselling How to apply If you are passionate about delivering person-centred care and have the skills and experience required for this role, we would love to hear from you.
