Infrastructure Lead - Automation - Windows (BBBH53280) Sydney CBD, Sydney, Australia Who they are A global fintech powerhouse is on the lookout for a proven infrastructure leader to head up a high-performing team in Sydney. This hands‑on leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex infrastructure problems and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and automated systems that keep a world‑class trading operation running smoothly. To be successful in this role, a high degree of Windows systems engineering knowledge is needed, coupled with strong IaC skills to drive automation adoption – ideally with Terraform and PowerShell . As it is a lead role, you must have previously led and mentored teams of systems engineers. The company provides lunch and breakfast daily and requires you to be in the office four days per week. The role Take ownership of critical infrastructure across the APAC region Set the direction for infrastructure best practices and automation Work closely with global teams Balance deep technical work with leadership, strategy, and stakeholder engagement Drive improvements across systems such as VMware, Windows Server, NetApp, and more Enable fast, reliable, and secure trading environments at scale What you’ll bring Experience leading or mentoring technical teams Strong background in infrastructure – particularly Windows Server management and virtualization Hands‑on experience with C#, PowerShell or Python, and Terraform (or willingness to learn) Experience with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, NetApp, and Windows Server Understanding of modern observability tools (SCOM, Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, etc.) Clear communicator and team player – someone who can lead with influence Why join?
