Can be based Sydney / Melbourne or Brisbane Impressive Group / Leadership Team, Growth Trajectory $250K+ Super Our client is a leading infrastructure business delivering major capital projects and ongoing asset management services across transport, health, utilities, and government portfolios. As part of their growth, they are seeking a high-calibre Commercial Managerto join the team and provide strategic commercial leadership across complex, contract-driven environments. This opportunity suits a commercially astute professional with strong financial acumen, deep contract knowledge, and prior involvement in pre- and post-contract phases of infrastructure or facilities-based projects. Experience within PPP environments or operational facilities management contracts will be highly regarded. Key Responsibilities Pre-Contract Strategy & Bid Support : Shape the commercial framework for new bids and tenders, review head contract terms, assess risk, and provide pricing and modelling input. Financial Oversight : Lead the commercial controls and reporting for high-value projects, including cost forecasting, margin management, performance tracking, and budget reviews. Contract Administration : Manage the commercial delivery of projects across all stages – including subcontract negotiations, claims, variations, reporting obligations, and dispute resolution. Governance & Risk Management : Ensure compliance with internal commercial frameworks and external contractual obligations, and provide sound advice on risk and opportunity. Stakeholder Influence : Engage with clients, advisors, legal teams, and project leaders to drive commercially robust outcomes. Experience Required Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Chartered Accountant (CA / CPA), Legal Practising Certificate, or equivalent credentials desirable. Proven commercial management experience in infrastructure or large-scale facilities projects. Strong understanding of PPP frameworks and long-term O&M contract delivery is highly advantageous. In-depth knowledge of major contract forms including AS, NEC, GC21 or similar.
