About The Role As a Community Support Worker , you will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing and feel respected and valued within their community. Working in both a team environment and independently, you will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engage in meaningful opportunities. This role can be demanding and challenging but is overall rewarding, as you positively impact the lives of the people you support. Responsibilities Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of a range of person‑centred programmes Working to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies Assisting and supporting clients with personal and hygiene care Performing manual handling and household tasks such as menu planning, cooking and cleaning Maintaining progress notes and record‑keeping Ensuring the home is a safe and nurturing environment About You Similar to our clients, there is no one‑size‑fits‑all approach. This role is fulfilling but can be tough, requiring someone resilient both physically and emotionally. We’re after people that have a good heart, a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disability and share our values.
