What You Will Do Teach – You’ll deliver clear, structured VCE English Language lessons (mainstream, Language, or Literature) that build conceptual understanding and essay technique. Coach – Motivate students to engage with content, practice deliberately, and improve week‑to‑week. Mentor – Share study strategies and relatable stories to build student confidence. Connect – Build genuine connections with students. You're relatable, making it easy to relate and inspire. What You Will Bring 99+ ATAR and 45+ raw study score in VCE English Language (or equivalent subject mastery) First‑year university level knowledge or above in English, Arts, or related Humanities Tutoring experience in VCE English Language (favourable) Academic Awards in English Language (favourable) Past VCE Graduate (students learn best from those who once were in their shoes) Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts Energy, empathy, independence, and a proactive mindset Honesty, Integrity, and a genuine Passion for Teaching A full academic year commitment (e.g. no overseas exchange trips for 8 weeks) Ability to commit to weekly classes with minimum 10+ hours availability per week (e.g. can't constantly reschedule or miss classes) Travel to our Campuses (e.g. Glen Waverley, CBD, Box Hill, Narre Warren or Point Cook) Alignment with Contour’s mission, (Signed NDA and non‑compete agreement required) A genuine desire to motivate students (e.g. your primary goal is to help students achieve their potential, like us) Why You Will Love It Tutor Group Classes – Impact education of multiple students at once High Quality of Resources Provided – Teach off a Workbook, rather than winging it No need to make any resources Students Have Access to our Ecosystem – we provide students with homework, workshops, practice SACs/Exams, Free 1:1 Consults, 24/7 Text‑Support System, LMS (Learning Portal) with everything they need World‑Class Tutoring Training Support – Receive hands‑on training from a Tutoring Team Leader to take your tutoring skills to the next level Also receive class sit‑ins for personalised feedback, and 1:1 check‑ins for continuous support Grow With Us – From Tutor, to Senior Tutor or Tutoring Team Leader, or even Head of Subject Flexibility - Classes run on evenings and weekends, designed to fit around university students Competitive Pay & Benefits – Earn $50–$75/hour base, with bonuses bringing this to $64–$100/hour for a 2‑hour class.
