About the role We require a Voice Tutor to deliver weekly lessons from Term 1, 2026. The tutor will timetable students on a rotating basis and provide a minimum of 32 lessons across the year (28 for Year 11 and 24 for Year 12), with support from the Music Department. Tutors are responsible for billing families, while the School manages enrolments and withdrawals. We are seeking an enthusiastic tutor with a genuine passion for teaching young people and a broad approach to music across all styles. Strong musicianship and technique are essential, and piano accompaniment skills are highly advantageous. Lesson days are flexible, as long as we have a practice room available. The position involves teaching between one and two full days per week, depending on enrolments. There may also be the opportunity to accompany an ensemble. The successful applicant must have experience working with school‑aged students and the ability to motivate and inspire learners across these year levels. Applicants should address the following criteria A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. Experience in establishing positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues. Ability to positively support the School’s Christian ethos and values. Personal Attributes Have appropriate tertiary qualifications and show a commitment to ongoing professional development. Show good work habits, including punctuality. Have an understanding and working knowledge of computers and electronic communication. Show empathy with and an understanding of young people. Have the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people, and be a team player.
