About The Role The Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DONM) is responsible for leading nursing and midwifery services across acute, subacute, and specialist clinical areas. On any given day, you will be responsible for the strategic planning of nursing and midwifery services; completing hospital rounds and conducting rapid bed meetings; managing escalations; providing support to the Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DDONM) and the Nurse Unit Managers (NUM’s); and acting as the professional lead for nursing and midwifery services within the hospital.
